While gardening in New England, I found the nest of a Northern Mockingbird that had fallen from a Kousa dogwood tree. I brought in to my studio and made it a corkscrew wire base to sit upon. Gardening there and elsewhere has offered other nests which I am careful to identify as abandoned before making pictures.
